Hello! I am a historian of postwar Germany with particular interests in the contexts of decolonization and the global Cold War. I am currently working on a first book project based on my dissertation “Dear Comrade Mugabe: Decolonization and Radical Protest in Divided Germany, 1960-1980,” which I defended at the University of Michigan in 2019. I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of History resident faculty at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University. In the past, my work has attracted funding from the Berlin Program for Advanced German and European Studies at the Free University of Berlin, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Central European History Society, and has been generously supported by the Rackham School of Graduate Studies, the International Institute, and the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia at the University of Michigan.
