Hello! I am a historian of postwar Germany with particular interests in the contexts of decolonization and the global Cold War. I am currently working on a first book project based on my dissertation “Dear Comrade Mugabe: Decolonization and Radical Protest in Divided Germany, 1960-1980,” which I defended at the University of Michigan in 2019. From 2020 to 2022, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at Harvard University, where I will begin an appointment as Assistant Professor of History in July 2022. In the past, my work has attracted funding from the Berlin Program for Advanced German and European Studies at the Free University of Berlin, the German Academic Exchange Service, the Central European History Society, and has been generously supported by the Rackham School of Graduate Studies, the International Institute, and the Weiser Center for Europe and Eurasia at the University of Michigan.

Get in touch, especially if you’re in Berlin!
